After you have told God all that is wearing you down, STAND!! There is no need to assume a Kung fu posture every time you go to the Lord in prayer. We serve a God who listens.
If Monday to Friday your conversation with God constitutes of “Lord you see my enemies, Lord Fight them, I rebuke, I cancel…. then all you dwell on is reminding yourself how big your problem is while forgeting how BIG your God is.
Have your Hannah moment, rant as long and loud as you can, just let it all out out. Tell God about all the Peninas mocking you, share how angry, tired and exhausted you are and after that STAND and your Samuel will be birthed.
“Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to theLord……
As she was praying to the Lord, Eli watched her. 13 Seeing her lips moving but hearing no sound, he thought she had been drinking.14 “Must you come here drunk?” he demanded. “Throw away your wine!”15 “Oh no, sir!” she replied. “I haven’t been drinking wine or anything stronger. But I am very discouraged, and I was pouring out my heart to the Lord…..
“In that case,” Eli said, “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.”18 “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad”
1Samuel 1:9 – 28
The Lord has promised to fight for us. There is no need for us to join in the fight. Its not our war. Its His!!! Several times in the bible He tells His people to just stand and see His salvation. Psalms 46:10, 2Chronicles 20:17, Exodus 14:13 and in all these times He comes through.
Take off time to praise Him, dwell on His goodness, sit back and enjoy spoils of a war you have not fought. Our God is mighty in battle, He doesn’t need your help or constant reminder
